**Health & Counseling Fee will be assessed to graduate students enrolled in 9 or more credit hours per semester.

Schedule of fees are subject to change and additional fees may apply. Costs for books and supplies are not charged directly to the student account; actual student expenses will vary depending on the student’s class schedule.

Financial Aid

Graduate students who are fully or provisionally admitted to a degree program may be eligible to receive federal and institutional financial aid.

Awards are typically split evenly into three semesters – fall, spring and summer.

Loans

Students who wish to receive federal loans beginning with the fall semester should plan to submit the FAFSA and list Winthrop's federal school code 003456. Students must submit the FAFSA each year to be considered for aid.

Graduate students interested in applying for a South Carolina Teacher's Loan need to submit an application before the state's deadline each year. Funding is limited so apply early.

Graduate students may also be eligible to borrow a Federal Direct PLUS Loan to help cover educational expenses. View additional information.
