Online Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education Intervention Curriculum

This 30-credit program for licensed teachers is focused on building their skills in intervention and support. In this curriculum, teachers learn proven interventions that meet students at their learning level to support their success in standards-based classrooms, with minimal disruption, before they would need special education.

Specifically, teachers will learn how to build, lead and participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) programs and to coordinate and deliver evidence-supported interventions in the areas of behavior, literacy and numeracy. The curriculum’s assignments are designed specifically to address the National Board Professional Teaching Standards, though the degree itself does not lead to specific licensure.
