FAFSA®

After you apply to Winthrop, complete the Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and include our school code (003456). To be considered for aid, students must submit the FAFSA each academic year.

Loans

Graduate students can pursue one of the limited South Carolina Teacher Loans by applying before the annual deadline. Additional options include the Federal Direct PLUS Loan and private loans that help cover educational expenses.

Professional Public Educator Rate

Online students at Winthrop pay a flat per-credit-hour rate and are not charged on-campus fees such as housing, dining, or parking. For most working adults, this makes online enrollment significantly more affordable than full-time residential attendance — with no difference in degree quality or accreditation.
