Accreditations and Rankings

Yes, the online M.B.A. program is among only 5% of M.B.A. programs worldwide to achieve accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Winthrop University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, master’s and specialist degrees.

Admissions

Students who have not had specific quantitative foundation courses will need to pass online self-paced modules to receive credit for missing prerequisites.

Required Foundation Courses:

  • Accounting (completed in Blackboard, free course)
  • Finance (completed in Blackboard, free course)
  • Economics (completed in Blackboard, free course)
  • Using Microsoft Excel (CSCI 101B, can be taken at the same time as BSAN 680, .5 credit hours)

Each of the self-paced prerequisite courses can be completed in approximately fifteen hours.

Yes, a GMAT score of 400 or higher is required. A GMAT waiver is available for candidates meeting the waiver requirements.

Curriculum

As a student in Winthrop’s online M.B.A. program, you will develop your skills in:

It is encouraged that foundations are completed prior to enrolling in the program when possible. Foundation courses may also be taken congruently while in the program but must align with prerequisite requirements of all M.B.A. coursework.

No. The degree is fully online, with no residency or campus visits required.

Online Learning

Students will have access to our online learning system and coursework can be accessed online anytime, day or night. However, course-specific tasks, including readings, assignments, and tests, must be completed by the due dates set by each professor.

Yes. It covers the same curriculum and is taught by many of the same instructors in a fully online format. Online students receive the same diploma as on-campus students. The diploma will not specify the modality of the program.

Time and Duration

Full-time students enrolled in the M.B.A. program that complete two courses at a time, every seven weeks can earn their degree in as few as 12 months. Part-time and full-time options are available.

Tuition and Fees

The 30-credit online M.B.A. program costs $780 per credit hour.
