Every one of our online programs was developed to support Winthrop’s vision to be a national model for providing a supportive, high-quality and affordable educational experience that has a positive impact on students and the community. We are dedicated to providing an online educational experience that enhances access, meets emerging needs and interests and maintains the quality of the Winthrop experience for diverse student populations.
When you study online at Winthrop, you will receive a student-centered experience. In our online programs, this means better learning through limited class sizes, ongoing advising and faculty mentorship, significant interaction and collaboration with faculty and peers and responsive technical support.
At the same time, you will complete the same rigorous coursework that is a hallmark of our on-campus programs. Likewise, our online classes are taught by most of the same faculty who lead our on-campus programs. Many of our instructors continue to work professionally in their fields of instruction. All of them will teach you current, applicable knowledge that you can apply in your future and current professional roles.
At Winthrop, we also understand the specialized needs of online students and the approaches that will best support their success.
