How long will the program take to complete?
Students enrolled in the M.A.A.A. program that complete one course at a time, every seven weeks, and can earn their degree in as little as two years.
Is the program accredited?

While there is no accrediting organization specifically for arts administration programs, Winthrop’s M.A.A.A. program has aligned its curriculum, program goals and student learning outcomes with the guidelines of the Association of Arts Administration Educators (A.A.A.E.), the leading professional organization in the field.
Is there a field practicum required?
Yes. The program includes two three-credit field practicum courses that can be completed at the student’s current nonprofit employer or volunteer organization.
Is there a campus residency requirement?
No. The degree is fully online, with no residency or campus visits required.

Students will have access to our online learning system and coursework can be accessed online anytime, day or night. However, course-specific tasks, including readings, assignments, and tests, must be completed by the due dates set by each professor.
Is this online degree equivalent to the on-campus M.A.A.A. offered by Winthrop University?
Yes. It covers the same curriculum and is taught by many of the same instructors in a fully online format.
